Imbabala is the Xhosa name for Bushbuck.  Bushbuck are solitary animals especially the rams.  Although the ewes sometimes form small groups.  Bushbuck are shy, inhabiting forest, reverie and dense bush.  They are territorial and have well developed senses.  Also become very aggressive when wounded.  Has a bushy tail and found in company of baboons.  Feeds on seed pods, twigs, shoots, leaves, wild fruits and roots.  Varies from light brown to dark according to region.
